"Joni's mosaic art is created in a way that truly highlights the brilliance of the smalti. Through her art, Joni is exposing collectors in the United States to a treasured ancient Italian material in a bold new way." Lucio Orsoni Modern Master of Mosaic Art "The mosaic art of Joni West is intriguing, stimulating and reveals the unique vision of the artist. Using traditional materials carefully juxtaposed in non-traditional ways, West creates vibrant, texturally complex works that draw the viewer in to a closer relationship with each individual tessera, while from a distance they merge - transforming the tesserae into a sole work of art."
